Most recently Richard was Vice President, Business Development of IMG Europe, where for over 11 years he specialised in developing and implementing commercial strategies and programmes across a wide range of Sports, Leisure and Entertainment businesses, for Rights Owners, Federations, Advertisers, Governing Bodies and Government agencies. His experience enabled him to play a dominant role in leading IMG's expansion in the UK, opening up new commercial opportunities and helping businesses realise the full potential of their commercial asset base.

Notable projects include the development and marketing of the first FA commercial Sponsorship programme in 1999 and development and delivery of the first commercial sponsorship programme for the Royal Horticultural Society.

Richard has been responsible for sponsorship sales of over £50m across a range of major sports and lifestyle projects; Rugby Union PGAET Golf Tournaments, International Cricket Tours, Motor sport, Tennis Tours, athlete endorsements, fashion shows and events.
